Who or what had left the white footprints that trailed around the FU? That was the challenge facing the children when they returned from their Christmas holidays.
Some suggested it was Father Christmas and his reindeer on their way home to the North Pole, while others suggested a woodland animal who had lost their way. After using their detective skills the children discovered that it was the ‘Big bad mouse’ from the Gruffalo’s child and so began our ‘wow’ days. These days gave the children an opportunity to work with a mixture of children and participate in a variety of activities including making a midnight feast in the mud kitchen, creating a clay face in the trees and bringing the story to life in our very own Gruffalo cave. The children had a magical few days with Rufus saying “I enjoyed the footprints; I knew straight away it was the Big Bad Mouse!” Gabby said “I liked when we had to make a trail, it was of the Big Bad Mouse from the Gruffalo’s child.”
